FALL ACADEMY CLASSES 2020
During these smaller class sessions, your rising star will have an opportunity to enhance their theatre skills through various ways, such as line memorization, expression and performance, audition skills, theatre-related games and more! Classes will run from 4:30-6:00pm. After-care until 7:00pm will be available for an additional fee.

WINTER ACADEMY CLASSES 2020

CAMPS
SPRING BREAK CAMP 2020
We offer a Spring Break Camp for grades 1st through 12th, where students will work on set design, line memorization, games and more! This camp lasts five days, is located at the Topeka Civic Theatre and costs $150. There is a $15 discount on enrollment for season ticket holders. For an additional fee, after care is an option for this camp until 6:00pm. At the end of the week-long camp, the campers will perform a play in the Oldfather Theatre at TCTA. This performance will be held from 5:30-6:30pm on Friday March 13th.

SUMMER CAMP 2020
We offer a three, three-week long summer camp session. These sessions follow a traditional theatre outline and are focused on putting together a full performance at the end of each session. Campers have the opportunity to learn a script, build sets and be a part of a crew. Each session features a different adapted script tied to our overall session theme, so enroll in more than one session for a whole summer of fun!
Ages 4-5 (Morning)
Do you have a budding talent in your house? Someone who sings, dances, acts or is full of energy, imagination, and creativity? Then this is the perfect opportunity for your little artist. Broadway Bound teaches basic acting, dance, and singing skills. Campers also use their creativity to explore props and costumes. Kids will present a short theatrical performance of a script adapted from children’s literature for family and friends on the last day of camp! (Note: This age group offers one week sessions)

Grades 1st-12th
These campers will explore the various forms of theatre including line memorization, performance and expression, set design, and more during each of the sessions. They will work as a team to create a final showcase, tying in with the session theme, which may incorporate a variety of skills such as improvisation, puppetry, dance, singing/rap, mime, theatrical makeup, costuming, etc. Campers will share their showcase of creations and performance pieces with family and friends at the end of the session. For an additional fee, after care is an option for this camp until 7:00pm. Students will need to bring a sack lunch and water bottle.

When will session themes be announced? Themes will be announced on the first day of each session.

How much does a session cost? Fee amounts listed above are per each three-week session.

How are enrollment cancellations handled? Should you cancel your registration, TCTA will retain a $25 processing fee. Cancellations within a week prior to the start date are non-refundable.

When is drop off and pick up for the camps? Student drop off is no more than 15 minutes before camp start time. Students must be picked up within 15 minutes after the end of the camp day. The third infraction will result in a $15 fine.
